The flamed finish is obtained by flaming with
a high temperature torch the surface of the stone. This finish is only possible on very hard stone. By
contrast of temperature, the hard crystalized surface is exploding in different way. The pattern
resulting of this process is characteristic of each stone. Moreover, the color of the stone is often
changing, turning red or white after flaming. Only a few stone are keeping the same color in flamed
finish.
